Denise Myrick

Class of 2026

Denise, a cradle Episcopalian, grew up in Connecticut and belonged to Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour, CT. (Yes, full circle from Trinity Church to Trinity Cathedral!) Her grandparents joined the church in 1915 and family continued membership until 1996. She & her husband, Jim, moved to Oregon in 2006 and lived in Beaverton until moving to Charbonneau last year. During Covid, we watched services all over the world and realized we were being called to transfer to Trinity Cathedral.

As a child, she went to Camp Washington Episcopal Camp, sang in the choir, participated in YPF and Annual Fairs. As an Adult she has been an active member serving in the Vestry of 2 churches, as a Choir member in 3, Eucharist Ministry, Marriage Encounter, Faith Alive, led Auctions and was involved in many celebrations. She enjoyed sharing these activities as the children grew and they were active in most of the same ministries.

Denise has a BS in Business Administration and MS in Quality Systems Management. After working many years in healthcare settings within Connecticut, she accepted a job offer in Portland at Shriners Hospitals for Children as the Director of Performance Improvement, Compliance & Patient Safety. She is now retired.

Denise & Jim (married 49 years) have 2 children, Todd in Sarasota and Nicole in Glendale California, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. We are particularly happy with Facetime and being close to an airport so we can visit often.
