Steve Isaacson

About Steve:

Steve became involved in outreach ministries at Trinity after retiring from Portland State University and a career in special education that spanned more than 40 years. In addition to volunteering in Trinity’s food ministries and participating in two mission trips to Nicaragua, Steve has served as a Vestry member and in various other ministries at Trinity. He continues to serve as Prior to the Cornerstone Benedictine Community. Steve is the author of Praying with Saint Benedict (Morehouse Publishing).

His family includes good-humored husband Mike Pickrell and their very neurotic and excitable dog Zaki. Steve and Mike love to travel, make music (piano & voice) and kayak on the Columbia River, where they live.

Arrival at Trinity:

Steve began attending Trinity in January 1996, and became co-coordinator (with Charyl Cathey) of Outreach Ministries in the spring of 2017.

Fun fact:

Steve and husband Mike met in the Trinity Choir in 1996 and have continued to make beautiful music together ever since.
