Maya Gascoyne

About Maya:

Maya is a choral nerd, swimmer, and Great British Baking Show enthusiast. She is the loving mom to Magnus and Maple and has the world's best partner in crime, Max Muehleip.

Maya studied Vocal Music Education and Psychology at Concordia College Moorhead, where she sang under René Clausen and the world-renowned Concordia Choir, and for the past eight years, she has been the music teacher at Ainsworth Elementary School. During that time, she also conducted the Music Maker and Nova I/II Choirs with the Pacific Youth Choirs. Maya is thrilled to join the Trinity Episcopal family in her new capacity as the St. Cecilia Choir Director. Click here to learn more about Maya's educational philosophy!

Arrival at Trinity:

Maya joined the Trinity Choir when she and Max moved to Portland in 2013, and she has been a member at Trinity ever since!

Fun Fact:

She secretly loves to write children's books! One day, she will finally take the plunge and publish all of the stories that she has been writing.
