Katie Webb
Canon for Cathedral Music
About Katie:
Katie is the daughter of a church musician who loved Evensong far too much to avoid joining the family business. She earned her doctorate in organ performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she also studied choral conducting and taught in the music theory department.
A graduate of St. Olaf College, she is active nationwide as a choral conductor, composer, and organist; she also sits on the board of directors for the Royal School of Church Music in America. She and her husband Dan love exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, attending Timbers and Thorns soccer games, tasting their way through Portland’s fabulous restaurant scene, and doting on their senior rescue cat, Mr. Felix.
Arrival at Trinity:
August 2020 (although she first visited Trinity in 2013 as a member of the St. Olaf Choir!)
Fun fact:
Katie has sampled over 5,000 different beers. She is also happy to discuss all things related to commercial aviation, college basketball, sea otters, and the culinary arts. Her life-long dream is to attend Corgi Beach Day dressed as a Ravenclaw quidditch player!
