Masks & Distancing
We have moved to a three-tiered approach for mask requirements, tied to CDC Community Risk Levels for Multnomah County (available here). Multnomah County's current risk level is Medium. Trinity's internal guidelines are as follows:
Level 1 – RED LIGHT (High Risk): Masks required at all times while on Trinity campus, regardless of vaccination status.
LEVEL 2 – YELLOW LIGHT (Medium Risk): Masks recommended while on Trinity campus, regardless of vaccination status.
LEVEL 3 – GREEN LIGHT (Low Risk): Masks encouraged for those most at risk: older individuals and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.
A NOTE ON MASKS
Due to new variants' extreme transmissibility, cloth masks are strongly discouraged when required. Please wear an N95, KN95, or KF94 if possible, or a well-fitting 3-ply surgical mask - layering surgical masks under cloth masks can provide a tighter seal.
N95, KN95, and KF94 masks can be reused for up to 5-7 days. Replace if misshapen, damaged, dirty, or if the mask gets wet or damp.
