Music for the Liturgy
The cathedral choirs are an essential part of the liturgical life of our worshiping community. The Trinity Choir and Choristers provide music for both our weekly 10:00 am Eucharist and 5:00 pm Evensong service, as well as other special services throughout the year.
Sunday Mornings
The most important work of our choirs is to provide music for the 10:00 am Eucharist, every Sunday from September to early June. The Trinity Choir, often joined by the Choristers of Trinity's Choir School, offers music from a wide range of styles and traditions on a weekly basis during the academic term.
The musical offerings of the choir help enhance the messages and themes of the chosen readings for the day, and the repertory spans over one thousand years of sacred music, from medieval to modern. Ecumenical and eclectic are apt descriptions for the musical role played by our singers – terms that suit the broad range of backgrounds within the Cathedral’s congregation.
Choral Evensong
First Sundays / 5:00 pm In person & livestreamed to Facebook & Youtube
Evensong preceded by our First Sunday Organ Recital / 4:30 pm
Rest, reflect, and listen: Evensong at Trinity offers time and space for quiet meditation as we are each invited to pray for the our own needs and the needs of the world. Through music & spoken word, sound & silence, we invite you to find a “thin space” in which to encounter the mystery & beauty of God.
Join us for this monthly liturgical feast of scripture and music led by the Cathedral clergy and by Trinity’s musicians—as well as an array of visiting choirs and organists. All are welcome: no exceptions.
