About the Event
Hybrid—held in person and on Zoom. Led by Paul Pasquesi.
What can we learn from Christian texts about roles for women in the early church and the lives of key figures like Mary Magdalene, Perpetua, and the Family of Jesus? We will explore the lives of these women as described in the New Testament, Apocryphal Acts, the Nag Hammadi Library, early Greek and Syriac Church Order texts, and early martyrdom accounts.

About the leader:
Paul M. Pasquesi, a recent Oregon transplant, has an MA in Judaism and Christianity in Antiquity and is ABD for a PhD in Historical Theology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. He has taught high school and college theology courses and adult education classes for 20 years. He has three children who participate in choir and acolyte here at Trinity.
