Jerry Brown and wife Anne regularly attend the 8:00 a.m. Eucharist on Sunday. For many years they were members of the Madeleine Parish in the Alameda neighborhood. Missing the Episcopal liturgy they returned to Trinity in 2013. It has been a welcome return for both Anne and Jerry. They have been volunteers at TPC monthly meal preparations, attend 9:00 a.m. forums, ride their bikes with Anglican Cycle and attend Wednesday at the Commons. While at Trinity in the early 1990s, Jerry was a trustee of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Oregon. The Browns have three children who graduated from Grant High School. Likewise, all three graduated from Sewanee, the University of the South. Their older son Bobby is an emergency medicine resident in Toledo, Ohio; second son, Todd, is completing his fourth year of medical school; and daughter, Jane moved from Portland to Santa Cruz, California in late September. She has been an environmental consultant in Portland and hopes to continue in that field. Jerry is the Treasurer, head trader and member of the Board of Directors of Becker Capital Management, Inc., a Pacific NW investment advisory firm. He is an avid fly fisherman and serves as Treasurer and board member of WaterWatch of Oregon, a water conservation watchdog organization. Jerry was born and reared in southern Indiana on a small farm. His younger brother, Doug, still operates the family farm equipment business started by their great-grandfather. Jerry graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University in 1978 and afterwards moved to Chicago where he met Anne. Trinity is an important part of the Browns lives and they feel very blessed to be members of this community.
