Daniel was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and while initially raised Roman Catholic, his family found a new home in the Episcopal church in Louisville when he was eleven years old. As a youth member of Christ Church Cathedral in the Diocese of Kentucky, Daniel served as both a voting youth member of the Vestry, and as a voting youth delegate in the election of Bishop Edwin F. "Ted" Gulick Jr. in 1994. He remains a committed advocate for the incorporation of children and youth members into larger community of faith.<br/ >While attending the New College of Florida, in Sarasota Daniel had the good fortunate to meet his future wife Rose, as well as earning a Bachelors decree in Economics. After college Daniel attended Rutgers University School of Law in New Jersey. Since moving to Portland, Daniel has worked as a litigation support consultant and project manager, assisting law firms, and government attorneys, with litigation planning, electronic discovery, document management, and related issues.
He and his wife Rose began attending Trinity in the winter of 2008. They have two wonderful sons (Maxwell age six, Desmond age four) and a perpetually muddy Labrador Retriever. The entire family is grateful for the excellent quality care and education provided in Trinity’s Nursery, the Godly Play classrooms, Trinitots, and Choiristers. This is Daniel’s third year teaching the Godly Play to children at Trinity.
For both recreation and exercise Daniel swims regularly with the Lake Oswego Masters Swimming team, and has been making some real improvements with his backstroke and butterfly times in the last few months. Since college, he has maintained a strong interest in the ancient and medieval history, particularly of the Middle East and Mediterranean regions.
