Responding to the spiritual needs of teens is about building trusting relationships. The Episcopal Church strives to walk with young people on their journeys from childhood to adulthood, recognizing their gifts for ministry, their questions about spirituality, and their desire to make a difference in the world.  Trinity is no exception, offering a diverse array of opportunities for youth as leaders in the Cathedral and the community.  Our youth are involved in the life of the Cathedral and we are committed to providing our young people with opportunities to give back to our community in addition to offering a place of security and friendship among their peers through social activities both at and outside the Cathedral. Hearts and Hands
Middle School-High School Sunday Formation

We have two youth formation opportunities on Sunday-Hearts and Hands. We invite Middle and High schoolers to join us immediately following communion from the 10:00 a.m. service for refreshments. After refreshments, there will be two options for students to engage with the scripture of the day or questions that arise from the worship service, itself. The "Hands" group will take an active approach with hands-on activities, while the other "Hearts" group will take time to reflect in a more contemplative way. The Hands group will meet in the St. Francis room. The Hearts group will meet in the St. Catherine room. We will finish at 11:45 a.m.

Youth in 6th grade and older are invited to serve as acolytes for Trinity’s worship services. Acolytes serve about once a month at the 10:00 a.m. service. Trainings occur throughout the year, and experienced acolytes take on additional responsibilities. Attendance is encouraged at two Acolyte Days, Sunday December 6, 2015 and Sunday, February 28, 2016, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. These days are a chance for more training as well as some fun with fellow acolytes.
